Gerry Durrell talks about his life alter moving to Corfu. Here starts for him a new life very different than in the rainy England. He moves with his mother and his brothers, and all of them are very happy, specially his big brother Chris, who is the one who had the idea of moving, and persuaded the others. They were bought a new big house near the sea, and there are many fields to explore for Gerry, who is very fan of the zoology and a lover of the wildlife. He is going to become a great explorer. He is going to start a collection of animals which are going to have to coexist with his family.

I liked this book very much because is so funny and interesting. There are a lot of adventures in Gerry’s life that catch you.

Gerald "Gerry" Malcolm Durrell, OBE (January 7, 1925 – January 30, 1995) was a naturalist, zookeeper, conservationist, author, and television presenter. He founded what is now called the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and the Jersey Zoo (now renamed Durrell Wildlife) on the Channel Island of Jersey in 1958, but is perhaps best remembered for writing a number of books based on his life as an animal collector and enthusiast. He was the brother of the novelist Lawrence Durrell.
